ASKING PEOPLE TO COME TO ALLAH

Asking people to Allah has many meanings:

1) It is asking people to do good and abstain from evil.
2) Asking people to Allah is to explain the Islamic creed and implanting it in the hearts in order to free the minds and liberate people from worshipping their desires to the worship of the One and Only God.
3) To liberate the individuals from becoming slaves to their desires into adherance to Islamic traditions that ask for good manners and virtue.
4) It is an implimetation to the teachings of the Prophets tthat Allah sent in order to build the virtuous Islamic society so that people acquire the happiness in this life and the hereafter.

Types of making Dawa (asking people to Allah):

1) For Muslims to call each other to follow the teachings of Islam and to abide by its principles in order for them to be able to ask others for Islam.
2) Calling other nations and individuals to come to Islam.

Who are the callers for Allah:

1) Our Prophet pbuh said that they are the inheritors of prophets.
2) They are the carriers of the divine law.
3) They are the guardians of Dawa.
4) They are the tutors of the coming generations.
5) They are the source of guidance for humanity.
6) They make people aware of what benefits them in this life and the hereafter. In the Quran Allah addresses the Prophet:
O Prophet! Truly We have sent thee as a Witness, a Bearer of Glad Tidings, and a Warner, And as one who invites to Allah's (Grace) by His leave, and as a Lamp spreading Light.

And In another verse:
Who is better in speech than one who calls (men) to Allah, works righteousness, and says, "I am of those who bow in Islam?"

The characteristics of the caller to Allah:

1) He/she should be knowledgeable, aware and he should memorize some of the verses of the Quran and of the Ahadeeth (sayings) of the Prophet pbuh especially what concern the Dawa in order to be able to reach to the souls and purify them.
2) He/she should have good care of his appearance and looks in order to get peoples respect and honor and he should be sincere and honest in his sayings, deeds and actions.
3) He/she should have good manners, politeness, sweetness and sense of humor in dealing with others and he should pick easy and influencing vocabulary in order to bring others attention to accept his guidance and advice.
In the Quran Allah says:
Invite (all) to the Way of thy Lord with wisdom and beautiful preaching; and argue with them in ways that are best and most gracious: for thy Lord knoweth best, who have strayed from His Path, and who receive guidance.
4) He/she should be pious, fearful of Allah, and away from the forbidden matters and any other acts that might bring suspicion upon him.
5) He/she should be cautious not to act against what he preaches. The Prophet pbuh said: A man would be brought on the day of Judgement and then he would be thrown into Hell fire until his intestine come out of his belly. People of the fire would come to him and ask, werent you a pious man who ask people to do good and abstain from forbidden. He would then reply, I asked people to do good but I didnt do it and I called them to abstain from the forbidden and I did it.
6) He/she should be sincere and to do his best effort because sincerity opens the doors of knowledge and makes the hard hearts lenient.
