STORYLINE: A hard-hitting cop with an attitude gets partnered up with a laid-back uncaring cop. Add a drug dealing bad guy, a cool car, Snoop Dogg as Huggy Bear, lots of cleavage, and we got ourselves a movie.

MY REVIEW: The main thing I can say about this film is that is good, but still dissapointing. I enjoyed many of the scenes, especially since they related to the old TV show and had a number of very random scenes that were just thrown in for fun. For instance, I don't really think a small asian kid who throws knives at cops is a crucial plot point in any movie. Even though I found the movie to be a pleasent way to spend a couple of hours, I was unhappy that so much potential wasn't used as much as it could have been. Still, there are enough memorable scenes in it to look back on, and Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson have never failed me yet. They are the perfect casting choices, and Snoop Dogg was, surprisingly, also a terrific casting choice. The Huggy Bear character was hilarious!

    A few scenes felt like there could have been much more done with them to make the movie a real big blockbuster hit. My main complaints don't involve what the film did, but rather what the film didn't do. Many of the jokes were constantly spread throughout the movie, but just because I chuckled a lot, doesn't mean the movie is hilarious overall. There were only a few times where I actually laughed out loud. After Todd Phillips directed Old School, I was expecting something special. There were a few things that I felt added to the movie as a whole though. The music was great, really putting the setting into that 70's feel. Vince Vaughn was great as the bad guy, but then again, he's great at anything. Phillips must really like Vaughn and Snoop Dogg, because so far, they've been in both of his movies. I was actually hoping that Vaughn would have a larger part, since he was so funny every time he appeared on screen. Another performance that was great was Will Ferrell, which was probably the only time I actually busted a gut I laughed so hard. He only has a cameo, but it's funny as hell.....and also quite disturbing. Anyways, as a whole, the movie had potential to be better, but was still worth the watch.
