MY REVIEW: Despite this movie being an obvious attempt to rake in the cash by just handing out some lame plot to continue the series, the script itself is what makes the movie incredible. Well, that and about a hundred other things. First though, I want to make something clear. A script and a storyline are two different things. This movie's storyline is just as lame as the first, even though the original film had a good premise(the premise being the underlying idea behind it to make fun of fairy-tales). The premise for this movie is just to be a sequel and continue the story. Although many people don't like sequels, and when I heard about this film I thought it was a bad idea, I just have one thing to say in my response after watching the movie......HOLY MOOSE! Yes, I think "moose" sums it up nicely.

This is the best movie I have seen so far this year. Practically everything about it was perfect. The slapstick comedy, the computer-generated images, the constant movie refrences, the new characters, and much more. Before I go on to the "much more" stuff, let me sum up the rest. There was so much excellent comedy in this movie that my sister kept punching me from laughing in her ear too hard. The computer graphics were better than the first movie's, probably by how much it showed off the ability to use lighting, reflections, and character faces. Phenominal stuff in that department. And now we go into something I didnt expect: the movie references. I was shocked and incredibly happy to find that this movie had a non-stop flow of spoofing popular movies, and was done to a certain level that made it hilarious. We get jokes at Spider-Man, The Lord of the Rings, Alien, Flashdance, and tons more. There are also tons of jokes at stars, TV shows, and anything else that's popular and current. For instance, Ricky Martin, Justin Timberlake, Fast-Food restaurants, and a hilarious "Cops" parody called "Knights".

I think my only minor complaints have to do with the annoying Fairy Godmother and the content suitability for youger kids. The Fairy Godmother is presented like one of those women you call for "a good time" (and no, I'm not joking), and it's just plain....WRONG! I mean, this is a kid's movie for crying out loud! Which brings me to my next point. So many of the movie's jokes are intended for older audiences, and even the jokes the kid's can understand, I doubt parents want their children to learn how to be funny with this sort of presentation. To explain what I mean, here are a few jokes in the movie(don't read if you want nothing spoiled): Pinochio wears a thong, drug refrence joke to cat-nip, "The Ugly-Stepsister" is a cross-dressing guy, and lots more to confuse the younguns. But lets remember something, I'm a teen male. I don't give a rat's ass! I loved the movie and I'm happy about the adult humor. Bring on Shrek 3!!!

Adam's Report Card
A-

+Incredibly well-made movie that doesn't deny any expectations
+Phenominal graphics and imagery
+Hilarious in practically every seen
+So many funny references to popular movies that even non-movie buffs can understand the jokes
-Seems better for teens as opposed to kids (because of some of the content)
-Annoying Fairy Godmother character
-The actual plot is a bit thin
