What should go in place of the
question mark in the figure below?

Solution: The diagram is the overlapping portion of the intersection diagram (see below) of the letters in the words "CIRCLE", "TRIANGLE", and "SQUARE". The picture below shows the full diagram. The three shapes intersect, and any shared letters are placed in the coresponding overlapped section (ex. The letters "I" and "L" are found in "CIRCLE" and "TRIANGLE", but not in "SQUARE", so those two letters are placed in the section that is inside the circle and triangle, but outside of the square). The question mark is inside the square, but outside of the triangle and circle. The letters in that position are therefore "SQU".
