Several bolts of lightning chase each other across the sky, illuminating every single blade of grass and every feather on you -- before racing off into the distance, and suddenly plunging the world back into gloomy darkness. The moons cycle overhead, casting their tenebrious light across the Isle. And upon you, as you traverse Kuei Meadow, not sure where you're going, and yet going somewhere. Even though you don't know where....
The mist parts like a drape, closing silently again behind you -- but there is no mist in front of you this time. Strangely, you've stumbled into a rather clear part of the meadow. You blink to clear your vision, for here the light is so sharp and every detail so distinct that at first it is blinding to your eyes. But then as your eyes accustom to the stark surroundings, you notice that you're not alone here.
The dekari mare turns to you slowly from its vantage of the skies. "Come to join me, huh? Welcome welcome, make yourself comfortable. I know, Kuei Meadow does get infuriatingly confusing, that's why I prefer to stay in this clear place as much as possible. I'm Rindel'Myran, welcome welcome."
You gratefully come to stand by the mare's side and for a time you stand together in silence, just happy to be in each other's presence. "Look up at the moons. Aren't they beautiful?" Rindel'Myran sighs a little wistfully. Sometimes one wishes to be able to travel there. It'll be fun, looking at Grimmy's Isle from up there. I wonder what the moons actually see.... And to travel to the stars, that would be even better. I wonder what's out there. Many other worlds, I'm sure, just like the world which we dekari came from. You must feel special, a visitor being able to travel from world to world huh?" She turns to smiles at you, a dreamy look crossing her face, before returning her vigilance to the moons.
Again, silence reigns, and Rindel'Myran falls into deep thought. Realizing that there will be no words from her for a long time at least, you quietly slip out of the clearing and back into the depths of the mists....
