Lightning careens across the sky, and for a moment you expect to hear the rumble of accompanying thunder -- Oh yeah, you realize. Kuei Meadow does NOT have any rain. Just... this mist. Well, nothing as bad as Kivuli Jungle, you reassure yourself, all the while trying to get some sense of direction here...

Perhaps flying will be much better. You spread your wings and take off, surprising yourself that you actually KNOW ho to fly. Must be the gryphon-instinct. You gain in altitude and the mist finally thins out, and the full glow of the moons shimmer down upon you. Feeling strangely light-hearted, you glide onward, ever so often looking at the beautiful surroundings below you. Kuei Meadow is lovely, and it seems quite safe up here...

-- Not anymore. Something bursts upon you from below, something dark, black and bat-winged!! "Aiiieeeee!!! Bat!!!" You screech and dodge away, losing your balance but barely saving yourself from a nasty demise on the ground below. The creature -- no, the winged rakish -- blinks at you. "What bat?" he asks innocently, gliding in circles around you. "I'm a rakish, Lanin'Aida to be exact. Just 'Black Fox', no bat around here. At least I don't see any," he looks about, and you can't resist a smile.

"Hey, just playing around. Don't feel bad, just decided to give you a ... scare that's all." Lanin'Aida grins mischieviously, settling into a glide beside you. "Just wait until you see my sweetheart Efi -- then that's different. Beware of her, 'cos she doesn't just use her wings for flying. It pays to be careful around here, y'know. Even in the sky."

Lanin'Aida gives you a sardonic grin. "Don't take things for granted, gryphon. I'm off to meet her. TTFN!" With that, the black rakish veers off and dives down into the mist again. Well. Perhaps walking is better, after all....
