Suddenly, just as you think you're going to go insane, the vines ahead suddenly part to reveal .... A WIDE OPEN SPACE!!!! You spill through and collapse on the grass, gathering your scattered wits and drinking in the cool fresh air. FINALLY a place where you can breathe and stretch your wings without constraint? And you can even see the night sky over head, and countless stars! Captured in the beauty, you stare at the vista above your head, until you presently realize that you have a companion.
"Come to enjoy the view as well, gryphon?" the soft voice says, and the mare smiles at you. You notice that her body gleams faintly with its own curious light, but she has no wings. "I'm Twisted Reality. Used to be in a pri~erd, but decided to strike out and make a living for myself. My son Stars Shattering Black Midnight is roaming somewhere in Kivuli Jungle... He does visit occasionally." Twisted Reality smiles fondly at that mention.
"Look at the sky," she continues quietly, nodding her head upward at the myriad of faintly-coloured points, the swathe of a milky pale galaxy, and the lazy glide of a comet traversing the vista. "Beautiful, isn't it? That's why I love the Isle. It's perpetually shrouded in night, so I often pass my time star-gazing." The mare flicks her tail nonchalantly. "You ask, why do I do this? Because I love it, and it's in my nature. Others might find it strange, but I love what I do."
Twisted Reality smiles serenly at you before resuming her watch upon the sky. You sit for a while, enjoying this oasis of calm and security, before silently slipping back into the jungle, leaving the leagus mare to her ever-vigilant peace.
