Dragon Fighter Quest: Descendent of Eccadairius!
Chapter 02: "Awaken, The Dragon Within"
Summery: Prince Dragonas is found unconscious in the kingdom of
Melonia and Delena helps Dragonas uncover a secret that he has
never known, how to transform into a Dragon!

*** 02 ***

Prince Dragonas had been exiled from his homeland. Dracolonis
exiled him for reasons unknown to our hero. Dragonas slept there
on the ground and was completely motionless. A servant saw the
young man sleeping outside the castle gates and alerted Princess
Delena. Now Delena was the daughter of Litanyas the King of Melonia.
Delena's father also was a descendent of Eccadairius, which made our
Hero Dragonas related to the king of Melonia and his beautiful daughter.
Delena had light purple hair, had green eyes, stood 5'10"
tall, weighed 124 pounds, and had a healthy complexion to her skin
when someone gazed at her. Delena was known for her grace and beauty.
Delena ran inside the palace to get her father.

"Father, I had discovered a young man outside the castle that seemed to be under a spell.
I had brought him to my chamber to try to find out who he his and where he comes from.
To me he looks like the noble type."

She reported to him. And the king; her father answered,

"Go and look after him. If he awakens, please tend to him. And when he wakes, send for me!"

He commanded her.

"Yes father, your will be done!"

She replied and walked away and departed to her room. She came back
and tended to Dragonas in which was still unconscious. A day had
passed since Dragonas had arrived there and Delena was no closer
in discovering who he really was. She didn't know that Dragonas
was descended from Eccadairius who was also known as Elwin which
he was the son of Leonardo, in which the Archfiend Ferdinand struck
Leonardo with lightning! After that, Leonardo died. Poor little
Elwin (whose father was killed just after he was born), he became
the prince of Melonia, since the king of the time was single and
had no wife or son of his own, so he decided to marry Meltilpa,
the widow of Leonardo who was slain by Archfiend Ferdinand! After
Elwin finished his journey and slain the evil Archfiend, the king
of Melonia made him king! And from Eccadairius came many good kings.
But you are wondering how is Litanyas and Delena descended from
Eccadairius too? It simple to explain see, Ligorus had two children.
His children were Karleena, which was a female, and Litanyas, which
was a male. Now remember Dracolonis, king of Dragonia? Now
Dracolonis wanted Karleena to be his wife. In order to win Karleena,
Dracolonis had to slay the thief, which had kidnapped Karleena. Afterwards,
Dracolonis returned her to the palace of Melonia. and
Dracolonis was given Karleena to wed. He took her to his castle
and which a year later, Dragonas was born. Now Litanyas was given
the throne of Melonia because Karleena became the queen of Dragonia!
And two years after the birth of Dragonas, Karleena died of unknown
causes. Now you know of the family history of the most recent times.

Now Dragonas was still unconscious when Delena had started to care
for him while he was asleep. by this time Dragonas awoke from his
slumber and Delena talked to him.

"You are finally awake! Who are you?"

She asked.

"Where am I and who am I?"

He asked. Delena noticed is signet ring. It said the following:

'THE ROYAL FAMILY OF DRAGONIA; DRAGONAS, THE DRAGON PRINCE!'

When she saw the ring, she knew right away!

"You are Dragonas, the Dragon Prince! Also, if I remember correctly,
toy are my cousin and you are a descendent of Eccadairius the great!"

Delena said excitedly.

"Dragonas, the Dragon Prince?"

He asked in a confused state.

"You see, your father has but a spell to make you forget everything
about your family's history, but I think he deliberately made it
weak so you could remember who you are and save your father Dracolonis!"

Princess Delena stated.

"Save my father? How?"

Dragonas wondered.

"I don't know you yet. You simply can't go back so you must travel
the world and find a way to save him."

She explained.

"Maybe your right. I do know one thing though, my memory is
returning."

Dragonas spoke in a calm voice.

"Let's go outside. I'll show you around the castle."

Delena told him. She wanted to show him around. She knew that she
could trust him. After all, they were cousins. She took him outside.
She showed him the outside of the castle. Then she talked to him
about something, important that was on her mind.

"You know Dragonas, You were born human. Yet, your father is a
dragon. And your mother was human. So, you may have 'the best
of both worlds!' You may be a shape shifter!"

She revealed to him.

"How?"

He questioned her.

"Simple. Just think about it. You want to be a fire breathing
dragon and your wish will come true and you'll transform into
a dragon!"

Delena told him.

"Do you want me to try it?"

Dragonas asked.

"Yes. Try it!"

She almost demanded.

"Okay."

He replied. He closed his eyes and concentrated. A white energy
began to cover him and soon he transformed into a green looking
dragon. His wings were yellow. Delena looked surprised and scared
at the same time!

"How do I look?"

Dragonas asked while he was in his dragon form.

"You look like a big dragon. Hey see that tree stump?"

Delena complemented him and then asked him a question.

"Yeah."

He replied.

"Burn up that stump!"

She commanded.

"Okay."

He replied. Dragonas blew out hot scorching flames! The tree stump
didn't stand a chance against his fire. The fire was so hot that
she had to stand back. Then Dragonas turned off the fire and saw
the end result that was caused by his fiery breath.

"See Dragonas! By thinking about it, you destroyed the stump
easily!"

Delena spoke happily. Dragonas concentrated again and a white
light transformed him back to his human form.

"See, now you have awaken your dragon side, so you can use either
human or dragon forms to aide you during a battle!"

Delena spoke again happily that her cousin Dragonas had discovered
something about himself that he never knew of.

"You're right! And you know what, by transforming into dragon form,
the transformation into a dragon broke my father's forgetfulness
spell! He exiled me because I didn't have the power or ability to
defeat the evil that plagued him. I know he must be possessed. I
have heard rumors among my own kind about my father. And this is
the fate that I accept."

Dragonas answered.

"Good to hear it. Let's meet my father."

Delena replied and took Dragonas to meet her father. She led him
inside to the throne room where the king was waiting for her to
return.

"Father I brought the young man and I know of who he is."

Delena reported to her father. Delena's father was in his forties
and still had some strength in his arms. He stood 6'2" tall and
weighed 210 pounds. He was still the best swordsman in all the
land and throughout the world!

"Well, what's his name?"

He asked.

"Dragonas, father, Dragonas the Dragon Prince of Dragonia. He is
from the line of Eccadairius and he is my cousin!"

She replied.

"Come her son! Let me take a good look at you!"

He commanded. Dragonas responded and came forward. Litanyas looked in Dragonas's eyes
and saw the same sparkle in his eyes like Karleena.

"Indeed! He is the real deal!"

King Litanyas spoke in delight.

"Dragonas, show him that you can transform into a dragon too!"

Delena requested.

"Okay."

Dragonas responded. He concentrated again and like before, he transformed into
a green dragon. King Litanyas was beyond surprise!

"You are the real deal! You are not only from the line of
Eccadairius, but you are descended from the dragons of Dragonia!"

King Litanyas spoke excitedly. Then Dragonas concentrated again
and retransformed back into his human form once again.

"So, what do I do now?"

Dragonas asked.

"Seek out companions here in town. Delena may go with you since
you both are from Eccadairius. I know of two that have heard of
you and they are here to seek you out. You should go and find
them!"

King Litanyas ordered.

"Yes sire."

Dragonas replied with respect.

"Ha! Just call me Uncle Litanyas! And once you are done, you all
must return to me. You are dismissed!"

He spoke once again and made them return once their companions
were found. Soon, Dragonas's journey will soon begin!
