You been stumped on who to choose in Dragon Warrior III (for NES) or
Dragon Warrior III (For GBC)? Well, this FAQ will help you understand
about different "Party Formations" and the classes of Dragon Warrior III.

***01: Classes ***

In Dragon Warrior III NES there are eight classes. In Dragon Warrior III
GBC there are Nine classes. Let's see what they are:

NES Version/GBC Version:
Hero/Hero-The Main Character. Fights Great and Casts lots of Spells.
Soldier/Warrior-A Soldier Can Equip lots of Heavy Weapons and Armor and
can't cast magic and is slow and not too bright!
Fighter/Fighter-This is a great Character! High in Agility, his/her chances of a
Tremendous Hit increases. This Character also is not too Bright!
Merchant/Dealer-A Money Hungry Merchant that fights fair and looks for gold.
Pilgrim/Cleric-This character can fight well and cast healing spells.
Wizard/Mage-Wizards are weak, but can chop down lots of monsters.
Goof-Off/Jester-Totally useless, except one thing...which is...turning into a
Sage.
Sage/Sage-A Master Character that can fight well and can use Magic Spells of
Wizards and Pilgrims.
-----/Thief-This is a cool Character! IIt steals items for monsters and 
can find treasures too!

***02 Formations ***

When starting on DW III, there are many party formations. I list five for Now:

01: Beginner's Party:
Hero, Soldier (Warrior), Pilgrim (Cleric), Wizard (Mage)
If you're unfamilar with this game, choose this party.

02: Thieves and Dealers Party*:
Hero, Merchant (Dealer), Thief (Thief), Pilgrim (Cleric)
A Good way to get money and items!

03: Mighty Magic Party:
Hero, Wizard (Mage), Wizard (Mage), Pilgrim (Cleric)

Advanced Parties:

04: All Soldier Party:
Hero, Soldier (Warrior),Soldier (Warrior),Soldier (Warrior)
A great way to beat some monster butt!

05: High Agility Party:
Hero, Fighter, Fighter, Fighter.
This is a great way to land more "Critical Hits!"
