| Father, we lift up to you another precious mother. Lord we thank you for the women that you made mothers and the many good works they do in your eyesight. We lift up to you Randy's Mom asking that you see to her care and all of her needs. Give all of the caregivers the right mindset and cause everything concerning this mother to not be burden to her children, but to continue to bless their lives even as she is unable to care for herself. Lord, you know this woman and her works as a mother. You remember how she gave of herself even when her children do not remember. Lord, move on the hearts of all concerned, give them peace and comfort, show each her/her responsibility and then make the way easy. Be glorified in this case Lord, we stand believing in Jesus' Name, amen.. |
| Prayer Request: March 21-22 OH MY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! or as I would say... PRAISE THE LORD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Blessed be the name of the Lord most high!! Deb has been with my mom most of the morning and just gave me a report that she is doing FANTASTIC!!!!!!!!! She is awake and communicating and trying to mouth words!!!! And she is producing urine. Not much mind you, but 150 ccs as opposed to only 25 ccs. Even her doctors are amazed at how fast she has recovered. Heh heh.. I'm smiling, I'm smiling BIG!!! And of course, I'm thanking Him : ) Now onto the next step... God Bless all of you for your prayers.. Keep it up, they are indeed working and above all, continue to pray for His will... March 20th Well since the last time I sent you guys an email, things have improved considerably. The dialysis treatments have been successful in getting the water off her, plus she is starting to come around. Her kidneys still aren't in great shape and she is still on a ventilator, but now there is hope. Thanks for all your prayers and I ask for your continued support in prayer that we are able to find her a good nursing home that is close and will provide the loving care she will need when she gets out of this. The headache and emotional process of finding one plus how to accommodate it financially are overwhelming. Praise to Him and blessed be the name of the Lord most high!!!!! God Bless Randy March 15th Basically since a week ago, the surgery was unfortunately not successful. The doctor attempted the stint, but mom's artery just wasn't strong enough to handle it. So he aborted that and then went in to do it the old fashion way, which is by opening her up. Abdominal surgery. He was taken back by what he called a "hornet's nest" of scar tissue from the last time she had surgery. He was extremely careful and disclosed the aneurysm, which was at 5.0 cm. He was getting ready to clamp the artery and go to work when he looked down and saw "yellow bubbling bile". It turns out that during the process, a hole was created in her intestine. So now we had an infected area and he had no choice but to repair the hole, then put her back together and sew her up. The risk of infection if he had repaired the aneurysm was just too great. Therefore, she basically went through all this pain and suffering for nothing. She has been in ICU for a week now. Her kidneys have finally started to produce some urine even though the chemistry is not where we want it to be. They have tried twice now to take her off the ventilator with no success. The ventilator isn't breathing for her, it helps her breath. First her blood sugars weren't where they should be, then just yesterday, when they did indeed take it out, she indicated she couldn't breath easily. This was due to all the swelling she has gone through with post-surgery and her puffiness due to her kidneys not outputting for the longest time. So they had to put it back in which wasn't pleasant. They did have to drug her for that obviously. But all her vitals are stable, and she is beginning to respond better to voices. She squeezes my hand and smiles at me. So all in all, it's a touch and go situation. There are some setbacks, while at the same time there are some positive steps. They are planning to attempt to take her off the ventilator again this weekend. Thank you all some very much for your prayers and support. God is in control. Even though we don't profess to understand sometimes, His plan works for His ultimate purpose and our good for those who love Him. I humbly ask for continued prayers for my family to give us the strength and courage we find in Him, and thus give us peace of mind and heart knowing His good and perfect will shall prevail. In Christ.. Randy |
