| Loc Nguyen - Age 34 Wife & 3 children Honeywell Aerospace Federal Credit Union (HAFCU) account # 295160-3-2. Father God, we corporately lift this man and his family to you in prayer. We first of all pray an opportunity that if this man and his family do not know to call upon you, the God who heals and the only true and living God, that this be an opportunity for them to seek your face and ask questions. I pray lord, that your children, those called by your name will sieze this opportunity to present you to this family by giving to their criticle need at this time. With every donation, let it be known to this family that you are God. Be it your will Lord to be glorified in the eyes of this family and cause the husband and provider Loc Nguyen to beat the odds and to pull out of this illness with power and strength and that he be returned to his family only to teach them and lead them to the powerful truth found in Christ Jesus. We stand in the gap Lord, believing all good things for this family in Christ name, amen. |

| May 25, 2001 Hello all, Loc has 3 more weeks left in radiation treatment and after that he will go home on June 15. His wife, Angelica, will be here on June 9 to facilitate his return. Loc is making a lot of progress in his rehab, he can now sit for several hours and walk a few steps. His eating ability is a lot better; he can feed himself and can chew on tougher food. We haven't been able to talk to his doctor to see if his prognosis has changed but he seems to be in better spirit and top physical conditions. Loc, Agelica, and their 3 kids owe it all to you guys (please see attached Thank You note.) Thank you all for your tremendous help. | April 23, 2001 Just two weeks ago, I met a Vietnamese guy over lunch with some friends at a Vietnamese restaurant. As we talked, I found out that he also worked at Honeywell but at Wichita Support Center. The guy seemed to be very polite and proper, to say the least. Little did I know that he was here for a brain tumor surgery the next day. Loc Nguyen is 34 years old, and just 2 months ago, his life was perfect with his beautiful wife, Angie, and three children. He was also a very good guitarist and electric organist. I asked him about his illness, he said that one day he felt some numbness on his right arm and right leg and did not know what it was until the doctor did a catscan and said that he's got a tumor on the left side of his brain. Since they did not have the facility in Kansas, they asked him to fly down to Phoenix for an operation with a specialist. Not knowing anyone in Phoenix, Loc managed to get a hold of a good friend of mine, Duy Bui, who before that day, was, too, a total stranger to him. So my friend picked him up at the airport and took him to the hospital the next day for his operation. A week later after the operation, the doctor said the test results showed the tumor to be malignant, located at the stem of his brain, and significant follow up radiation treatment would be needed. The radiation treatments would mean a minimum of seven additional weeks stay at the hospital. The long term prognosis would be depending on how Loc's cancer cells react to the radiation treatment. After the operation, Loc's right side is partially paralyzed, his vision is blurred, and his speech is slurred. Angie, Loc's wife, flew to Phoenix a few days after the surgery with the financial help of their friends and co-workers in Kansas for the airplane tickets and assist in caring for their three children (a 10 year old son, a 7 year old daughter, and a 4 year old daughter). At the risk of losing her job and having no vacation time left, Angie took time off without pay to come to Phoenix and care for her husband after the operation. Angie must go back to Wichita on Sunday 4/22 and return to work or risk more financial burden on the family. Needless to say, Loc and Angie are very much in need of outside supports, both emotionally and financially, to get them through this very difficult time.
