History: Colette lived with her parents until the age of 2, when they divorced; she then lived with her mother. After she was discovered to be a mutant at the age of 5, her father disowned her, and her mother put her in an orphanage where she spent the rest of her childhood. While at the orphanage Colette realized how unhappy most of the children were, even those who were secretly mutants. At the age of twelve, she was adopted by Sharon and John Bernard and lived in Central New York. After she was adopted, she began to devote her life to her studies and helping others. Her mutant power of electricity wasn't completely obvious until after she left the orphanage and began to adjust to a life in a family again, and her wings didn't emerge until the age of 15 after being bullied on numerous occasions for being a "mutie". At that moment, Xavier recruited her and she graduated high school at his institute. While there, she had heard of the Wolf Pack and Crimson rain and decided that it would be benificial for her to help others by being affiliated with them, and so she did.
