Wild Thing Track Description
The Wild Thing track is definitely not as long as your average downhill course. A quick run down it could take as little as 3 minutes. One of its greatest assets is its sheer descent gradient - one of the steepest in Auckland, with many sections almost vertical. It cannot be compared to the Rotorua national downhill in terms of length and speed but more than makes up for it through its difficulty. As a result, major bike crashes are commonplace to the extent that many signs are put up to aid as a warning, as well as a "Tombstone" warning of the past mishaps, both to the riders and their bikes. Have fun with it, ride it, please dont change/mess with the trail as it only takes one person to ruin it for everyone else. As you will see, the track is regularly puncuated with rating signs to warn you of imminent danger. Please refer to the censorship guidelines below. We take no responsibility for injuries on the track BUT if it is a good un, please post it to us and we'll add it to the Hall of Carnage! Have a good one!!
