What it means to you?

If you are reading this, you probably consider yourself a rider,

But have you ever thought what it really means to be a rider?

This thought drifted into my head while sitting through another boring afternoon class. I drafted a short list of what being a rider means to me.

  1. Ditching your girl in order to go riding with your friends.
  2. Keeping your bike in the garage while your car sits outside.
  3. Staring out the car window in search of possible riding spots.
  4. Camping out at the trails and building by lantern light.
  5. Passing mountain bikers on the way to class, up hill.
  6. Treating your bike like a human.
  7. Going riding on your lunch break.
  8. Having a girl become jealous of your bike.
  9. Drive three hours in order to ride for two hours.
  10. Finding trails by following the fresh comp III tracks.
  11. Being late to class due to hitting a few grinds on the way.
  12. Riding outside when it is below freezing.
  13. Comparing shin scars with friends.
