If you are reading this, you probably consider yourself a rider,
But have you ever thought what it really means to be a rider?
This thought drifted into my head while sitting through another boring afternoon class. I drafted a short list of what being a rider means to me.
- Ditching your girl in order to go riding with your friends.
- Keeping your bike in the garage while your car sits outside.
- Staring out the car window in search of possible riding spots.
- Camping out at the trails and building by lantern light.
- Passing mountain bikers on the way to class, up hill.
- Treating your bike like a human.
- Going riding on your lunch break.
- Having a girl become jealous of your bike.
- Drive three hours in order to ride for two hours.
- Finding trails by following the fresh comp III tracks.
- Being late to class due to hitting a few grinds on the way.
- Riding outside when it is below freezing.
- Comparing shin scars with friends.
