Are aliens really out there?

Based upon the Drake Equation, the probability of intelligent life, besides humans, in our Milky Way Galaxy is 100%.

There are 100 billion galaxies in the universe.
There are 100 billion stars in each galaxy, any of which could be identical to our sun.
Therefore, out of 100 billion stars in every 100 billion galaxies, it is impossible that we are alone in the universe.
The nearest galaxy however is the Andromeda galaxy, which is 3 million light years away.
It would take us 3 million years, traveling the speed of light, to reach the nearest galaxy.
The speed of light is impossible to achieve.
Thus, we will never interact with these other beings in space.

This might look like a bunch of scientific mumbo-jumbo, but it is fascinating stuff to think about. School might suck, but sometimes the facts that they stuff down our throats actually mean something. I’m not preaching the life of a science dork, but as School House Rock taught us on Saturday mornings, knowledge is power.

They’re out there somewhere. Maybe they ride. Just maybe.
