NOTES:

North Allegheny Invitational: Plum had a strong showing in pool play, defeating Mt. Lebanon twice, holding their own against Central York, and finishing with a 10-4 record. Plum finished as the #3 seed going into the playoffs facing the #2 seed North Allegheny and were defeated. North Allegheny went on to fall to Mt. Lebanon in the finals.

Derry Invitational: In Plum's initial pool, they finished 4-0 with wins over Dubois and host Derry. Plum also won the pool consisting of all the first place teams, beating North Allegheny twice, and splitting with Elderton and State College before moving into the elimination playoff round. #1 seeded Plum defeated #8 seed Penn Hills in the first round followed by another win in the Semi-Finals over Martinsburg Central, in an exciting match that saw Plum come back from 14-11 to win the game. In the finals, the Mustangs gave it all they had, and were upset by State College 15-13 in a valiant, hard-fought effort. Congratulations on the second place finish!

Lake Lehman Invitational: At the College Misericordia, the Mustangs failed to have their best day. After being down 12-2 early in the first match of the day against Lake Lehman, Plum brought it back to 13-13 before eventually dropping the match, 15-13. The Mustangs couldn't rebound from that loss, which set the tone for the day; finishing out the day well below par, the Mustangs ended with a final pool play record of 2-7.

Mt. Lebanon Invitational: With the Junior/Senior Prom the night before, the Mustangs were indeed sleep deprived entering the 8th Annual Mt. Lebanon Invitational, however, their played showed otherwise. The Mustangs opened up pool play with a win over Baldwin, followed by a respectable loss to Mt. Lebanon 15-9. Huge wins over Cochranton, Maplewood, and Richland came next for Plum and after being down 13-6 to Ambridge, the Mustangs came back to win 15-13. Following a loss to Montour and a win over Cambridge Springs 15-13, the "Mussies" finished pool play with a 6-2 record and were seeded third. After defeating Baldwin for a second time in the First Round, the Mustang's run was ended by eventual champion Mt. Lebanon in the Semi-Finals. All in all, the day was a great recovery and confidence builder for everyone on the team; good luck in playoffs!
