1998 Punkin Chunk
The seeds for the 1998 season were sown out of the confussion resulting from the Sunday night of 1997. As Paul, Pugs , Tom and the rest of the punkin society was packin up to go home the idea of roof trusses came to light. With Hippie Toms departure in an act simular to Nixon's departure but without the airplane. Pugs took the roof truss idea and ran with it. In an act unprecedented in Loaded Boing history the 1998 machine was prebuilt and test fired previous to November's festivities.With a new group of Boingers riding the road to destiny, It was only a matter of time before realizing their dream of 1000' wasn't far off. Arriving mid week this team was ready for anything at the newly christened chunk field near Millsboro DE. With Saturday bright and fridgid Loaded Boings first shot was disqualified due to the fact that the association surrvey crew could not believe this machine was really Loaded Boing. as a Quarrel insued Pugs shot the punkin anyway.
