After half an hour of working myself up higher out of the rubbery quagmire, and suffering a number of painful leg cramps during that lengthy sink/extraction (had been doing lots of steep hill climbing with my bike earlier that day), I managed to completely free myself from the sucking mire, leaving a couple of impressions in that hungry morass!
