Twelve brave competitors pioneered the Berkeley Extreme Croquet Championship. In a six-on-six struggle to the finish, fields were torn and mallets were broken. In the end, Team Josh led Team Becky at the mid-way point of the course when the match was called due to darkness and theater obligations.
| TEAM JOSH | TEAM BECKY |
| Josh Sladek Nowlis | Becky Sladek Nowlis |
| Erin Bevington | Tom Bevington |
| Dave Kaufman | Arwen Anderson |
| Michele Donovan | Nick Donovan |
| Josh Lobel | Mia Lobel |
| Cherie Kilian | Steve Kilian |
The teams split the two coveted awards. Tom Bevington, of Team Becky, won unanimous support from the judges for the Happy Gilmore Award, granted for the most X-treme of all shots. He made over-use of the stump rule, launching his ball approximately 100 yards, well past the intended wicket. Cherie Kilian, representing Team Josh, beat out tough competition for the Caddyshack Award, given to the player who caused the most damage to the course. Whenever she was in a tough spot, you could count on seeing divets, stones and tree branches flying around Cherie. Each won the privilege of housing the respective video until next year's competition.
