REAL LIFE ADVENTURES OF THE UNDERWATER STUNTMAN |
The summer of 1992 2000 is long remembered for its
unseasonal coolness. Once the following winter had finally subsided, and
we were all finally looking forward to some fun in the sun, one person
thought it funny to show up on the boat in full snowmobile gear.
Covered from head to toe in the one piece insulated nylon suit, topped
off with a Shoei helmet with windscreen, the Underwater
Stuntman is greeted by the captain and first mate. He quickly discovers
that winter wear might best be kept locked away during the summer. He is
swept off his feet and appropriately ditched into the Richelieu river.
While
it wouldn't be recommended to tread water in loose snow boots, the stuntman
doesn't seem to mind the waterlogged outfit. In fact, we found him a couple
of hours later, floating, asleep in his helmet, a couple of miles downstream.
He was rescued by two dogs, one of which is shown in an article about kayaking.
