HINTS FOR THE AUTOMOBILE

Your car will last longer- along with your temper-if you have prepared for that moment by equipping your car with the following basic supplies. Placed into your cars trunk these items will have you ready for many of the common emergencies...
A. shop manual/troubleshooting guide for YOUR car..these are available at most any AUTO PARTS store....
B. Lug wrench, Jack and spare tire
C. Flashlight..One that will stand free and direct light where you would like it is the best...you can get them with highway flasher built in as well.
D. Phillips head screwdriver
E. Slotted screwdriver
F. Locking pliers
G. Basic set of socket wrenches and open-end wrenches (cheap discount-store tools are adaquate for such standby use)
H. Tow rope or chain
I. Jumper cables
J. Old blanket
K. Extra drive belts...(check with AUTO PARTS store and get replacement belts for your car..they know what is apt to go and which ones can be replaced on the road in a pinch)
L. 2 quarts of motor oil..
M. Spare fuses
N. Hose clamps and replacement hose
O. Duct tape and electrical tape
P. Dry chemical fire extinguisher...(place inside car)
Q. Small shovel
You can place all the above in an inexpensive tool box
