Hi everybody, I am living in Sydney,Australia. I have about 30 various pines in my collection. The one I love the most is Nishiki Black Pine. The question I always ask myself: Why Nishiki Black Pine are all grafted? No original one! Nowadays, in Australia there are some white pines which are not grated while the Nishiki does. I would appreciate if anybody can tell me about it. And if anybody has seen the original Nishiki, please send me a photo, please!!! Thank you very much, Yours sincerely Sung Dang

I recently received a Hokani Cypress as a gift in a small, I am sure, inappropriate pot (too shallow for the 18" plant). When is that best time to transfer this plant to a more appropriate pot without harming it (time of year)? thanks, i will check with his room tomorrow to see if anyone answered. I am more succesful with oriental maples.

Tools are real hard to find here that suit the purpose of bonsai. Any info will be appreciated. Thanks

I live in a small town in Kansas and have never seen a place that sells bonsai in this area. A month ago there was a Chinese man selling bonsai trees on the street corner. He did not speak English well and I had a difficult time understanding his instru tions, but I bought a tree anyway. (Yikes) I was afraid I would never have that opportunity again. ( the city made him leave as soon as I finished buying a tree) I love my tree but need to know more about it. Does anybody know of a good source of info or a beginner? I have a Chinese Juniper, about 7-10 yrs. old. The Chinese man said "Water, Miracle Grow and Sunshine!!" Help!

I would really like to know more about the art of bonsai. I want to know about the tools I'll need to start. I've checked in stores such as Lowe's and Home Depot. I haven't found anything specifically for bonsai tools. I've also looked at internet site , and the prices are steep for a rookie like my self. If you have any info on were I could get these tools within my means, I would appreciate it. Thanx...
