They're only babies!!!
When you purchase a plant you are not
buying an inanmate object. You are
adopting a living thing. The plants
you buy at a nursery (why do you think they call
them that?) are young plants and will
grow if allowed to do so, into a
beautiful mature plant. Would you
adopt a child and expect it to fit ito
a crib 10 years later? PLEASE give
your baby room to grow!! know before
you bring it home what its mature size
will be. If the Mature size is larger
than you want SELECT AOTHER VARIETY!!!
You can't turn a rotwieller into a toy
poodle! If you attempt to keep a plant
that was meant to be 10 feet tall
trimmed to 3 feet, you will cause
yourself a lot of work, with very poor
results, and have a mutilated,
unhealthy plant. Would you cut off
your child's head because you wish he
were shorter?!
Create a beautiful place
A landscape is a work of art that grows
more beautiful with age. Plan for your
plant's growth and allow ample room when
you plant it for it to reach its full
mature size. Better to look a little
sparse at first than to have an
overgrown mess later!! Fill in any
blank spaces in your young place with
annuals, and reduce the number of
annuals each year as your beautiful
place matures. Its easy to arrange a
few plants and make it look good when
you plant it. Time is the test of a
good landscape. Plan ahead!! Know
what plant you are buying, and how
large it will become. Create a
beautiful place, that will always be
beautiful!!
