Plant tulips (and other spring flowering bulbs) in the fall for spring blooms. Between Thanksgiving and Christmas is the best time to plant them. Spring bulbs need a period of cold to bloom properly. In very warm areas, store your bulbs in the freezer for a few weeks, then plant out in late winter/early spring.
