- Run ice through your garbage disposal to sharpen the blades.
- To help ensure that your toilet won't run all of the time, DO NOT put those drop in fresheners into the tank. They will warp your flapper which will cause your toilet to run constantly.
- Make sure to turn at least the water on the washer/dryer off before leaving on a journey, if not the main line, to ensure a dry house when returning home from your venture.
- Once a year, hook a hose to the bottom of your water heater, turn on the spigot, and continuously run the water throught for about 20 minutes to aid in keeping sediment and lime build-up washed out of the bottom of the tank.
