These two true stories happened almost five years ago as told by Atti herself.
Grandma Opal
Atti's Story #1
During the third month of my pregnancy, I was visiting with my husbands grandmother, Opal. I did not know her very well, aware that she was in poor health, I suspected that our time to become friends was short. She told me that our baby would be born on her birthday. Not wanting to hurt her feelings, keeping my thoughts to myself, "No way", I smiled at her and told her "That would be nice".
My doctor did not know if I would carry the baby to term since I had been having alot of problems with the pregnancy. Providing I didn't mis-carry, my due date was a few weeks away from her birthday, Grandma Opal passed away four days after our visit. I continued having problems, but kept the baby. At the beginning of my ninth month, I went into labor giving birth to a 7lb. baby boy on Grandma Opal's birthday. Somehow she knew!
Now do you spose Grandma Opal had hind-sight while she was close to her time, or do you spose it was merely coincidence? I like to believe this woman had the divine inspiration of knowing the truth!
Small World
Atti's Story #2 (same baby as #1)
(The names and dates have been changed for privacy. This story was printed in the Atti's Father's company newsletter.)
Tim Cameron and Ed Brown, both "Drill Doctors" have something in common besides being the only two who work together in the drill repair shop at the mine.
On January 4, 1993, both of their daughters went into labor, arriving at the same hospital about two hours apart. Tim's daughter, the first to arrive, delivered a baby girl. (6lb,7oz). The proud parents named her Brenda Kathleen. Ed's daughter delivered a baby boy (7lb,7oz) the following morning, named Cory Lee.
Now get this!!
Both new mothers were in the same hospital room and had the same doctor.
Ed's daughter's first name is Kelly.
Tim's daughter's last name is Kelly.
They attended the same school together.
Tim's and Ed's wives are both named "Kathy."
Wow, is this "Atti's Believe It Or Not" or what?
Small world isn't it? Lucky for them they had opposite genders, otherwise, we might be wondering if they went home with the right baby. lol
