Too Much Love
They told me that I loved you too much, so they took you away.
When I grew up it was different than today.
It seems all the rules have changed.
There was a time when family meant everything.
Then 'The Powers that Be,' said that it was wrong to raise kids this way.
So now we see, thanks to 'The Powers that Be',
Kids running every which way.
Children are America's stars
In papers every day with guns and drugs,
Sex and crimes,
In schools and play-grounds and places where they should be safe;
But the control's out of the families hands
In all the ways they need;
So when they told me, " I loved you too much,"
It brought me to my knees
To pray to the Lord
To have families restored
To keep the Devils at bay.
So know this; "I Love You still,"
And please keep the faith.
