Introduction
Allison tried to act as if she didn't see Isaac when he rounded the corner into the corridor. She turned to her friend Lana and quickly started talking about an outfit that she'd seen at the mall that weekend.
"He saw you." Lana said, seeing through her friend.
"I don't care." Allison said. "Where's Michael?"
"I haven't seen him yet. I thought you guys were driving together."
"Not today. He had to come early."
"Oh. Where's your first class?"
"3A."
"I'm in 2B. That sucks that you have Mrs. Grong."
"Tell me about it. Meet me at the lockers after class, okay?"
"Okay."
Allison walked up the stairs to her English class. She looked up ahead at the people entering the class before her. She wondered if anyone she knew would be in the class. Her boyfriend, Michael had only two classes with her, but they were the last classes of the day so it wasn’t that bad.
Allison groaned inwardly when she saw Todd Ingles walk into the classroom. She'd been avoiding that boy since the third grade. It's really hard to get glue out of your hair.
Allison didn't even need to look up when she heard the familiar jingle of keys. He always did that when he was nervous. It must have meant that he'd seen her and he was hoping and praying the same thing that she was…..that they wouldn't be in the same class.
The Conflict
I can't let this happen. Allison though to herself. Everything was going fine until two weeks ago. Out of the blue, Isaac called her, just to talk. They'd talked on the telephone every night since then, but last night…..last night they'd kissed. It was a small, innocent kiss but it was still a kiss.
"We're losing miserably." Isaac said of their school's football team.
"What else is new?" Allison asked with a smile.
"You here with Mike?"
"Nah. He had to work. What about you? Did you come here with Tina?"
"No. She went to some dinner party for her grandparents. She wanted me to go but that's just not my thing."
"You used to come with me to my family dinners."
"Yeah, well that was different."
Allison had decided not to ask how it was different. She didn't have to. She knew what he meant. As she stood staring at them, she wondered what it was that broke them apart. She couldn't lie to herself any longer. There was a strong attraction for Isaac within her heart. It had not faded away. She knew she cared about Michael, but nothing compared to the passion she felt for Isaac.
"Well, I'd better get going." Isaac said, noticing the awkward silence between them.
"Yeah, okay. I'll see you in class on Monday." Allison shifted her weight from one foot to the other.
"Yeah, okay….okay." Isaac hesitated for a moment and then he gave Allison a hug. As he pulled away from her, she looked up at him. The next few moments occurred as if in slow motion. Allison gazed at Isaac's lips and the next thing she knew, her mouth was pressed to his.
"Um, I gotta…I gotta go. See ya." Isaac departed quickly.
Allison ran the scenario over and over in her head. She was startled out of her daydream by the ringing phone.
"Hey." Michael greeted her.
"Oh! Michael. Hey. How's…what's up?" Allison's thoughts were scrambled.
"Nothing. Look, it's no big deal or anything, but I just wanted to ask you about something I heard."
"Sure, what's up?"
"Aaron said that he was you behind the bleachers with Isaac. Is that true?"
Allison was silenced. She'd been spotted so she couldn't really say that it wasn't true, but on the other hand, Michael knew of her history with Isaac and he'd be suspicious.
"Well I was just saying what's up." Allison said.
"Yeah, I figured it was no big deal. Aaron just tried to make it seem like you guys were makin' out or something."
"Leave it to Aaron to blow things out of proportion." Allison scoffed. She tried to keep the tone of her voice as light as possible. She didn't want Michael to catch on.
"Well I have to go run some errands for my dad but I might stop by later."
"Okay. See ya."
Allison settled down with a good book, waiting for Michael to arrive. Just as she was getting into the main plot, there was a knock on her bedroom door.
"Come in." Allison called to Michael. She put her book in her desk drawer and turned around. Isaac was standing in her doorway. "Isaac?"
"Hey. I was just cruising around and I saw that you were home and I decided to stop by." Isaac said. His eyes didn't move from hers.
"Cool. So…….what's up?" Allison asked nervously. Why was she nervous?
"Nothing much." Isaac looked around her room. Allison flipped on the television to create some noise. It was too quiet in there. "I see you still have the dolphins." Isaac stepped over to Allison's windowsill and eyed her collection. He'd bought a few of those figurines for her.
"Yeah." Allison looked over Isaac's shoulder. She raised her hand to pick up her favorite figurine, but Isaac grabbed her hand and pulled her in close to him. Allison softly gasped in shock and anticipation. Noticing that he had slightly tilted his head, Allison raised her lips to meet his. His warm and inviting mouth connected with hers once again. Past months were forgotten and Isaac and Allison picked up where they'd left off. Shy kisses turned passionate. Burning desire erupted from deep within them. Allison allowed Isaac's hands to trail from her waist to her bosom. There was no complaint as he began to stroke her breasts from underneath her shirt.
Allison caressed Isaac's neck with her lips. Knowing his weakness, she moved her lips to his earlobes and began to nip at them with her teeth and tongue. Just as expected, a tiny moan escaped.
Isaac leaned back on Allison's desk. He coaxed her body against his. Allison tilted her head to the side in ecstasy as Isaac began to devour her neck. Fingers flinched and toes curled as Isaac's hand made it's way between Allison's legs.
"Allison?"
Isaac and Allison pulled away from each other as if they were pulled apart. Allison turned towards her door to see Michael standing there, staring in disbelief.
