William Pereira's skyscraper is celebrated for it's ability
to resist earthquakes, which it owes to it's flexible steel
frame that allows the building to absorb vibrations. The
cladding: composed of glass windows set within reinforced
concrete panels, ensures that the building is also rigid
enough to withstand the force of strong winds.
