Plaza Rakyat
The 6.6 million sf mixed-use development and transportation
center is a complex of buildings centered around a major
retail development. Anchored by a 77-story office tower that
marks the western edge of this irregular-shaped site, the
complex features a multi-level shopping center of 1.7 million
sf combined with the office tower to create a vibrant civic
facade along Jalan Pudu, Kuala Lumpur�s busiest thoroughfare.
Seven cineplex theaters and an entertainment center punctuate
the roof of the arcaded facade. At the opposite end of the
retail block is a 20-story, 415-room, four-star hotel that
defines the western edge of the site, linked to a 44-story,
315-unit service apartment complex.
