Good articles are usually clear and instructive. Some are humorless and focused on historic preservation issues. Others show real situations or whole homes and what happens when fixed or fixed up.
Product promotion is mostly done in separate areas, not in the articles. Advertisers are basically confined to banner ads.
Search engine for the site is included and does a good job at finding articles with search words, and of describing potential pages to view.
The discussion groups are set up great and are keyword searchable over different time periods.
The on-line shopping is set up nice with good search capabilities. Prices appear competitive.
The best part of the whole site is probably the "How too"
articles, because it is easy to find what you need and the articles are complete and well researched. They tell you why things should be done, not just how.
