Larry (left, on top) & Paul doing the prep work prior to installing the metal roofing. This meant sawing off the uneven edges of the plywood, and replacing plywood that warped (below)

If you look closely at the left edge of the roof, you'll notice that the plywood warped - you get what you pay for, and this was "inexpensive" plywood. Only cost us twice as much, after we replace it! (We piled old tires on the corners of the roof to try to prevent further warping, plus keep the wind from picking the plywood up & blowing it into Texas)

2" Thermoflex insulation panels are placed on the roof, then the metal roofing goes on top. Insulation panels are rated R-14. The roofing is screwed on, holding the insulation in place.

We worked for 4 hours & got 1/3 of the roof done - just Paul and I on the actual roofing. Couldn't work longer because of wind & rain (2 insulation panels blew off the roof, even though we were being very careful, holding down the panels with tires) and the screw gun pooped out pretty quickly.
