I do not have land, nor anyplace that a semi could turn around. I live just 5 minutes from Interstate #5 in any direction from city center. I would like to be there, hold a flashlight or bring you coffee. In a vast emergency, I could call on one of about 4 foster homes, not all of them suitable for semi traffic, but most of them have back in access to pasture depending on the time of year.

I have put off answering your e-mail about using our place as a possible layover for one reason... there is no way a semi or large tailer can get to our house and barn. We live at the top of a very winding and steep hill. We do have some lower pastures that should be fairly easy for a large truck to access (probably not a semi) but we need to install a few double gates along the fence line so a truck can drive in. We are planning on doing that this spring. So, in essence, yes, please list us a resource for those traveling through Western Washington. We would also love to assist anyone with the training and handling of their foals and could offer short term boarding facilities(3 or 4 months). We are very easy to find, we are 3 miles off the interstate: Take I-5 to exit 95(this is about 10 miles south of Olympia) Head west on the Maytown-Littlerock Road (toward Littlerock). Take the first right after the Farmboy Cafe, this is Case Rd. Our farm is 1 mile down Case Road on the left hand side: 12413 Case Road Sw. Our phone number is (360)786-8784. I look forward to helping the trek unite foals with families, .

FROM NORTH OF SEATTLE:
From Highway 5 heading South, go to Highway 405 South. Take Highway 522 East, toward Woodinville. Take the second exit (195th) to Woodinville/Duvall Rd. Continue past Avondale Rd, turn right onto Mink Rd. NE, to NE 155th Place, turn right, to the end.
No problem getting an 8 horse in and turned around - a semi depends on how long it is - my hay guy delivers 20 tons on a double semi and has to move them (flatbeds) one at a time up to the barn. I have a couple of paddocks with shelters and a pasture with shelter - so I can keep babies on a long or short term basis.
Legally I think I can keep 5 babies + my 3 adults, but who's counting? I've had as many as 10 grown horses here at one time. Since I am a licensed bed and breakfast I am set up for overnighters - I also have an apartment in the barn with an extra bed. The coffee is always on and I'm willing to do anything I can to help. If you have more questions just let me know.
