(716) 438-0182,
Western NY Equine Sanctuary is located at 6781 Ridge Rd (Route 104), Mailing
address is Lockport NY, but we are actually in the Town of Newfane. Route 104 runs from Niagara Falls
to Rochester NY. We are 1 mile off the intersection of Route 78 and Route 104. Time wise, we are 1/2 hour outside of Buffalo NY.
We are willing to become a central location. By this I mean having the foals brought here from Alberta, and then distributed (or picked up) by the new owners. In other words we can become a central distribution point. We are also 1/2
hour from Niagara Falls. My friend owns a campground around the corner, so I'm sure we can put up transport people. My house is small, so I can't help much with layovers. But the campgrounds has cabins, and I think I can get a reduced rate.

Hi Donna,
Here are the directions:
From 81 South:
Take 81 South to 17 West, to exit 65. (first Owego exit) Go Right off exit.
Road forks, bear left. (you will come out on 17C )
Go straight, you will come to an intersection. Look for sign for 96N, also
called North Ave. Take 96N to Talcott Street and go Left. Go to stop and
go Left again on Glenmary Go approx. one mile and you can't miss the farm.
You will see lots of fencing and pasture and buildings. Our barn is the
last one on the right, set back off the road.
From 17 east... Follow 17 east to exit 64, go left off exit, and left again
at light over bridge. Follow directions above from "follow 96 north." The
bridge at this exit may be under construction when the time comes, so they
may want to follow 17 east to signs to 17 C east. (Around Nichols area I
think.) Glenmary runs right off 17c. It will be a left.
If they come, I will have signs up at the farm to direct them, and I will
escort them to the bed and breakfast if they are staying there. At my
house, I can sleep two on couches, and about 9 on the floor in sleeping
bags
or a lot more if they like to get cozy... ( Don't have spare room furnished
yet, sorry.)
You can have your trekkers call me if they have questions, or they can
email
me. (Note new email [email protected])

My name is Lori Ramsey.
I live in upstate NY on a 10-15 acre farm just below Albany. i just leased this farm so I couldlive with my horses and no have to board them. I have 2 rescues (they were cared for but unwanted) and another that I bought form New Vocations in Ohio. I belong to Recycle Racehorses, Retrain TBs, Carpe Diem (message board) lists and I want to do whatever I can to help. The fact that I have a barn, I can be a overnighter for one of your jouneys or perhaps even snatch one of those precious foals to add to my collection of Y2K lawn mowers. Feel free to check me out.
