Rudi, aged 3-4 months (photos from July and August 1999)

This is the first photo of me (I'm 12 weeks old). Even early on, my favorite room was the kitchen, because that is where the FOOD is! The only thing I love more than food is Lora and Andi, so that should tell you something about me and Iams Puppy Lamb and Rice Formula.

Here I am, waiting for Lora and Andi to get ready to go out and play. Hurry up! I am always up for a trip outside to play in the grass or to go for a run. There is a great playground with a beech tree nearby, and I like to pounce on the bark. Okay, enough with the Dog and Bark jokes!

I'm in my favorite place...by the driveway, chasing bugs and neighbors. Don't try to invade, I will never let you by without first checking you for food and trying to make friends.

Usually I sleep in my crate, but I know if I make this face, sometimes I get to sleep in the people bed! Of course I know how cute I am -- that is why I do it! You have to be careful of us terriers...we are very attuned to what our people are thinking and feeling, and I have been known to be a bit manipulative on occasion. But I love Andi and Lora completely, so they forgive me!

Here's an example of that killer instinct of mine that I've talked about before. No paper towel, tissue, or napkin is safe when I am around! This photo does not do justice to my ability to destroy paper. I grab it in my teeth and shake my head back and forth really quickly; then I carry it in my jaws as I run around the house. I only drop it when I am satisfied that it is out of its misery. I only do things if I know I can finish them right!

Liver treats, liver treats, LIVER TREATS!!! My favorite snack (besides people food, when I can sneak some) is these dried liver cookies that we get at Petco. I will do just about anything to get a little bit of liver treat! Of course Lora and Andi know this, so they only give them to me for extra-special accomplishments. I only get a little tiny bit, but it is enough to make my ears stand up the next time they call me! I also like to eat apple sauce, grapes and Cheerios (any cereal, but I love those O's!). I am not what anyone would call a picky eater. If it smells, I will probably try to eat it!
