This is Amber. We brought her to Sarasota on 8/21/99. She has been in foster care with Betty Wyatt
(the Adoption Coordinator for GRRMF) since Febuary. Amber was an owner turn in that came
with 3 of her puppies. She is a tiny thing of about 50 pounds and is VERY cute. She will turn two
in November. She has not been adopted yet because she is one of those "in your face" Goldens.
This is why we are fostering her. We love "high drive" dogs. We do competion obedience with our
own 3 dogs. We have had her for only a week and already there is no more jumping on people and
she is doing sit and down stays and we have started heeling. She would be a great obedience or
agility dog for someone. She even has her AKC papers.



Amber is a very happy dog and demands a lot of attention. She is also an escape artist
so homes with small children that might leave a door open would probably not be suitable.
A fenced in yard or large kennel run are probably a must with this dog. She has lots of
energy to burn. She is very affectionate and will lay with her head in your lap for hours.

Amber gets along great with our other 3 dogs but has a tendency
to play rough. We are working on this but even still she would
probably be better off in a home as the only dog or if you have
other dogs you have a background in obedience. She gets along
great with our CAT. A definate plus! She is crate trained,spayed,
of course, and micro-chipped. All her shots are current and she
is on heartworm preventative.
