The Water Dish

I have developed a bad habit...well, in the eyes of the Big Owner it's a bad habit.  It started when the kids would leave me small cups of water on the floor upstairs.  They did this because they thought I would appreciate not having to go down the stairs to my water dish.

Trouble is, the glass was so small I couldn't get my snout down the cup to drink....so I did what any smart cat would do.  I tipped the glass over and drank the water off the floor.

The Big Owner had no idea this was going on.  He'd get up in the middle of the night and walk through a puddle of water, see the glass and figure HE knocked it over.  He cleaned it up and went back to bed.

The next night the kids would leave my special water and the Big Owner would step in it all over again.  Took him a month to figure it out, the big dullard!  Now, he forbids cups of water on the floor!  Trouble is, I'm in a groove.

When I see cups of water anywhere in the house I will tip them over and quench my thirst.  On the bathroom sink, kitchen sink, trays, outside, inside, it doesn't matter.

It was pretty harmless until the Big Owner left a glass of water on the headboard overnight. You guessed it.  I tried to drink from it, couldn't, and, well, there's nothing like a cold shower in the morning to wake a human up.

 It was a good day.
