Why does it matter if someone is
Too old or too young for you?
Age doesn't make a difference.
If you believe that you and
The other person will
Be truly happy,
Then who's to step in your way?
But what really hurts is when
Someone you truly care for
Tells you that
Three years don't make a difference.
I believed that we would
Have been a great couple.
So much alike, and yet
So much different.
That's what makes a relationship work.
I care for him.
And at one time,
I thought he cared for me,
We spent time together.
Neither he nor anyone else will
Know how much that meant to me.
We shared a dance,
During that dance I felt
Like I was in heaven.
It felt so good to be in his arms.
At that time I confessed
That I still had strong
Feelings for him,
He called me a "Good Girl"
And that's when he told me that I was
Too young and
He was too old.
He would be off to college
Next year ad I still would
Be in high school.
My heart was broken.
For the first time I was speechless.
What could I do?
There was nothing that
I could do to change his mind.
He told me that he would
Love to still spend time together.
But, why I ask myself
Would he want to do that?
He thinks that I'm too young
And He's too old.
Well, I hope that one day
He'll look back on the
Time we spent together
And realize that it's too late.
He'll never know how much
I truly liked him,
How much I wanted him.
And how much he hurt me.
Because I'll never tell him.
Why should I
If he thinks he's too old
And I'm too young?
