What Is A Baby

What is a baby? Sweet as a rose
With petal pink skin and wee little nose

With hair soft as snowflakes and wondering eyes
That seem to have captured the blue of the skies.

And fingers as fragile as butterfly wings
A baby is all these wonderful things!

What else is a baby? Symbol of love
Kissed by the angels and sent from above

Made for a mother to cherish and hold
A treasure more precious than diamonds or gold

Dear little baby touched by a star
Life greatest miracle that's what you are!

And what is a mother? Well, that's hard to say
She might have been anyone, until the day

A baby was laid in her arms to impart
A gentle new wisdom of mind and of heart

God must have whispered the secret she knew
That this was His work she'd been chosen to do.
