As the perfect angel flies away
She remembers who taught her to run and play
She remembers the love that she had
And the love she gave to her manSomeone to hold
Someone to kiss
The nights with him that were pure blissShe thinks of how it all changed
The night he took his love awayIt was not his fault
Though I'm the blame
I pushed him out
He could have stayedThe love we thought would last all the time
Got shortened when she made up her mind
She missed her friends, good times and bad
She missed the fun days she hadThe road of love suddenly made a bend
She was sorry the relationship had to endWas it her parents, was it lies?
When was she dumb enough to say goodbye? He told her things from the heart
She somehow had a late start
She gave up on love, it's all a joke
Even thought his love was no hoaxAs the perfect angel began to soar
Her wings were broke, the love was no more...Written by Michelle L. Malone 5/13/1998
