: A Tribute to Mother

There's a woman I've known through the years,
Who's been there to dry all my tears.
A true friend she's been, she has helped me to win by overcoming my fears.

When I learned to walk, she was there.
When I learned to talk, she was there.
My first day of school, first splash in the pool,
and each sibling duel, she was there.

She taught me trade secrets of cooks,
And gave me my great love of books.
She taught with each chore cleaning's not such a bore

If you take pride in how your home looks.
She helped me get through teenage stress,
And helped me pick out my prom dress.
She advised me to date only potential mates,

Of all her advice, that was best.
We had talks that went into the night,
Sometimes ending with dawn's early light.
I want her to know those talks helped me to grow

'Cause I seemed to have turned out alright!
A godly woman is she, she walks with Christ, obviously.

She follows His ways, and prays everyday,
In heaven one day she will be.
A woman surpassed by no other,

God bless her,
I love her ........my MOTHER
