A beauty beyond
Why would they block their ears from a beautiful symphony
only to gaze upon the beauty which only eyes can see?
An angel has graced their presence.
An angel with divine thoughts,
courageous dreams,
undying devotions,
wonderful gifts...
but they are ignored, neglected simply because her
astonishing beauty shines as well with a smile, a
lovely face, and a breathtaking body.
I, for one, opened my ears and heart long ago
I listened to my angel for all that she was
and my love for her has grown ever since
meeting no boundaries.
... they just don’t know.
they turn her beauty to a curse,
a curse that keeps herself locked in,
even though her wings are spread wide
and she is soaring.
Perhaps she is flying too far above,
near heaven from whence she came.
Or perhaps they are just too far below,
and are blinded by the clouds which they believe surround their heads,
knowing only how to worship this curse they have placed on her shoulders.
Unlike them, I do know.
I have seen my angel, my soulmate,
for more than what she bestows to my eye.
While I am blessed with this gorgeous appearance,
I must say that it is her beauty within which continues to make me fall deeper and deeper
And I let myself, I wouldn’t want it any other way.
And so she falls with me,
and together we soar.
