Cats are artists, too. Since when is the appreciation of art
considered just a human trait? Among my peers I am considered an
accomplished feline artist! Much appreciated. My latest work of
art was this week when the sun came out. The big owner washed
his fancy car. Big owner spent many hours detailing his car. I
sat and watched as he waxed it until it glistened in the bright
sun. I am glad he does this often because his car is my palette.
When big owner parked the car in the garage overnight I
hightailed it for the front yard. There I slosh through the mud
until it squeezes through my toes. As an artist I have a vision.
I start on the top of the car and work my way down the front
windshield, around the hood and back up to the roof...never
allowing the cat prints to overlap or touch in anyway. I want
the individual who appreciates my art to wonder, "How did the
artist do this? Where was the artist going? What was the artist
doing? And Why?" Fresh cat prints on a newly washed car are to
be admired. They last longer because the big owner does not want
to wash his car all over again, so he just sits inside his car and stares
at the prints all the way to work...and it'll be a while before the next
rainstorm...

So there my art sits for people everywhere to admire. The cats in the
neighborhood howl with envy.

 It was a good day.
