SPECIAL NEEDS CAT: A Richmond, Va. rescue group is looking for a home for a small female cat of unknown age, who while she was a stray suffered severe acid burns to her head. She is fully recovered and still has a friendly and affectionate disposition, but she has many scars and very little fur left on her head. Perhaps she can be named Erika and taught to play the organ? - Samantha #1: A four yr old female with medium-length fur and hard-luck stories to spare; during her days as a stray she lost an eye and contracted FIV, which means that she must be an only cat or live with other FIV+ kitties. Despite her difficult past, she is friendly and outgoing.
Louisa County Animal Shelter - Pendelton
- Tabitha: A one yr old female, green-eyed, sweet and cuddly. Tabitha carries feline leukemia, so she needs to be an only cat or live with other feline leukemia positive cats. She also gets along with dogs.
SPCA of Northern Virginia - Arlington
- Beau: A three yr old male, very handsome and affectionate. Likes to eat. Needs a home without other cats or kids. Also needs medication for crystals in his urine. Poor kitty. (He does take his pills without fuss.)
- B.G.: A six yr old male, large, friendly, laid-back, likes popcorn. He came to the shelter because his last owner was institutionalized.
- Oliver and Delilah: Five yrs old, one male, one female. Both are long-haired. Oliver is aloof and dignified, while Delilah is an affectionate lap cat. They are strongly bonded and must be adopted together.
- Gus: A five yr old male. He is friendly and mellow.

- Thomas: An approximately five month old male kitten, long-haired, loaded with personality.

- Diamond Jim: An adult male with a white patch on his chest.
- Daniel: A four yr old male, good with other cats.
- Char: A two yr old male, long-haired, needs a special diet and medication.
