I'm not an authority on training or
breeding.There are plenty of pages on the internet
devoted to those subjects.
My goal for these pages is to help inform the novice
dog owner how to get involved in these sports.
Since most obedience, agility & breed clubs don't
advertise outside the dog community, It can be
difficult to find information about dog shows.
I'm currently the Obedience Trial Chairperson
for Silver State Kennel Club and Black Mountain
Kennel Club in Southern Nevada, and formerly the
Obedience Trial Chair of Vegas Valley Dog Obedience
Club. I have worked in pet stores, kennels, and have
done adoption work for the local Humane Society and
animal control.
I chose Danbeck's as the name for my home page
because the two dogs I'm doing obedience with are
Danbecks Titan CD & Danbecks Nikkei. Titan (Ty) is a
Doberman Pinscher and is working on a third leg for
his CDX title.Nikkei (Nik) is an Akita and has not
shown yet. We are getting ready to show this October.
Both Ty and Nikkei are rescue dogs with ILP's,
which allow them to show in AKC obedience trials.
I have met a lot of nice, friendly people in the
sport of showing dogs, as well as the nice people in
the Web TV dog newsgroup that I visit often.
