Ben is a very special boy, and he is my second boxer. While I never thought anyone could replace my Dukie Man, Ben has done just that and more. When Duke died I was in the depths of despair having just lost my beloved son, and then my precious Dukie too. I knew I could not go on without another boxer. I contaced boxer rescue, and after hearing of my son's death and then my boxer, they made me a priority. I got the call about a month later. They had a whole litter of 3-1/2 week old puppies! I drove 2 hours the next day to see them. The first one out of the basket was Ben. They had been calling him Brutus because he was so large. He walked straight at me and picked me out. I had to wait 4 weeks to go get him. He and all the puppies were covered with staff infection, they had coccidia and other worms too. The poor Mama had heart worms and the puppies had to be seperated from her. Ben was rescued from a chicken coop at a puppy mill. There was no food or water and they were laying in their own feces. I am very thankfull that Boxer Rescue shut this place down. Ben is smart, dominant, protective, caring, and very loving. He has never known a cruel word.
Benjamin is truly a Mama's boy and the love of my life.
