Pitbulls are seen as monsters with bloody frothy mouths trying to maim and kill anything in their path. It's amazing how people are so willing to hold on to this incredibly horrid image with a white knuckled grip when it couldn't be further from the truth! I think it's time the general public stepped away from the media hype, the gossip and most of all their own made up image of the Pitbull and do their own research. I have noticed that the people most willing to trash something are the most unreliable sources of all. Please, people, it's time to wake up and come face to face with the truth.

Some dogs cannot be reached in time and the damage has been done. Sometimes nothing can be done to help these dogs because the scars run so deep. My first foster Samson was one of these dogs. He was a dog that had much potential but because of someone somewhere he never got that chance and had to be put down. His issues ran deep and fierce and there was nothing that could be done as he was reached to late. Samson was a bait dog (you could tell by the scars all over his face and neck) that someone had permenantly damaged by not having compassion nor caring. I think Samson is a hopeless case that deserves recognition.

And this is Samson. I tried to foster but it didn't work out as he had some issues that couldn't be worked out. Again, this is a dog that was overflowing with potential but because of compassionless/ignorant people, he never got his chance. Had I gotten him long before they did? Who knows, but I can hazard the guess that he would have made someone very happy. I wish Samson had understood me as I would have apologized for humanity. If you click on either picture Sam will take you to the shelter he came from (TJ Oconnor) & they ALWAYS have pitties in need of a home.
