Scenes from the Texas Hill Country in the Summer

I want to show you some of the things I saw on my vacation to the Hill Country. In case you are reading this and you are not fromTexas, let me explain what the Texas Hill Country is first. Well, there is this part of Texas in the western center of the state, that is full of rolling hills, and rivers, so it got the name from that. It really is beautiful. It is also famous for deer. The town my Aunt lives in is Llano, Texas, and it is called the "Deer Capital of the World!!" Wow, I'm impressed, are you? *hehe* Sooooo, I am going to put some pictures of my adventures here. I want to come back next Spring and make another page, because in the Spring, the gorgeous Texas bluebonnets come out all over the hills. Come back next May and I should have a page of bluebonnets to show you!!

The first thing we did when we got to Llano, was to go and play in the Llano river. The whole terrain is pink granite, and even the sand in the river is PINK!! I loved that. I was sooo brave about the water. I jumped in and swam right away. I did get kinda cold after though!!. Here are my river pics.

Here I am checking it out!! ....1, 2, 3 JUMP!!

There were LOTS of rocks to climb on, and water to play in! Ya have to watch out for the current though!

Here I am just SNOOPIN' around!!

After we went swimming in the river, we took a drive to try to find some deer, and we sure did!! We saw many deer, quail, buzzards and jack rabbits. Click here to see them.
