Born 12-19-97
OFA - Loner is not old enough yet

Loner being an only child was a big eater,
slow to develop and wasn’t shown much as a puppy. At the Cincinnati
Basenji Club puppy match in May of 1998 he was named Best of Opposite Sex
in the match. At the Basenji Club of America National Specialty held
in September 1998 in Rhode Island Loner (handled by his co-owner at the
time, Elizabeth Jackson) placed 3rd in the 9 - 12 Month Puppy Sweepstakes
class / Any Other Allowed Color. Two days later he won the Open Brindle
and White class and went on to be named Reserve Winner’s Dog for the Specialty.
Oh what a thrill it was for me! I never thought anything like this
would happen! Loner’s mom, Baruh’s TJ Jazzy Yaz had been Reserve Winner’s
Bitch at the National Specialty in Allentown in 1994. Looks like
he followed in his mom’s footsteps or is that pawprints??

Loner’s enthusiasm for life is apparent
anytime that he shows. He is a real challenge to show as he spends
most of his time moving in the ring leaping and twirling. Someone
at the Nationals this year coined a phrase for him “behaviorally challenged”
and it sure fits!
