This was my first ferret Jacobi. I adopted him from a rescue, and we bonded immediately. Our dog, Gumby, and him would snuggle up together after snacking of animal crackers. Here he is outside for a walk on a beautiful spring day. Jacobi died of complications after surgery for adrenal cancer. We all miss him dearly, including Gumby.
Here is Jacobi, looking very unhappy, during bath time.

This is my lovebird Shane. We spent a mere eight months together, but in that mere time we grew very attached to each other. I hand fed him from four weeks old. He was my little green "wart," always attached to me, and I miss him very much.
Also remembered, but not pictured:
Peanut, my first cockatiel. I had him from when I was three until fourth grade.
And of course, all the other delicate lives, furry and feathered, whom I have had the pleasure of knowing, for an all too short time.
